NOPI....My client got an award.

Here's the one that one, on airbag suspension, video screens in the engine bay, two in the trunk, in the visors and IN THE GAS CAP DOOR

Yeah- but look at the swirls-:shocked

Parts of the install on the rd GS are terribly done- very "thrown together".

Your car seriously is #1- clean counts for so much with many of us.

Did the winner have any power/performance adders under the hood? The winner looks cool, but is just to busy for me. I like the mild look of your black GS and the second place car better. Another member of your club won an award with a green Solara. Congrats to all of you. The winner's red GS needs some detail work, dirty rims and what looks like cobweb effect swirls.

Yep, check out the list I posted on the first page - more than just the two of us won... we've got a double digit list of winners, a real sweep of the Lexus classes. :up

From what I could tell, the red GS just had an intake and exhaust. My mod list is massive compared to his from a performance and suspension perspective, but much lighter on the bling and ICE.

The white GS is similar to mine in performance modifications (also has a Supercharger) but has a bit more bling with colored underhood hoses, more aggressive bodykit, headrest monitors and a more impressive trunk setup.

Easy to see what it takes with some shows (or classes of shows) to win! I'm not anywhere close to bitter about this, it was fun to compete and a learning experience. Glad for the winners both in my class and the rest of my group that won.

In my observation, folks on Autopia have a much greater appreciation for a subtle approach and cleanliness in the look of cars. Attention to detail and finish is very important - thats what I've tried to do with my car in all aspects of my modifications (not just the paint). If this post was over on a Cardomain forum or an AV-focused website, I expect the conversation would be very different.

The cars look awesome. The black car relly stands out.If I could ever learn to post pics.I got some cars you will like Terry the high h.p. f-body kind in the last 2 weeks I did the prototype **** Harrelll wide body they have about a 120 grand price tag plus two conv.ZO6S YES zo6 they are prolly gonna be a limited gmmg run.I also did zl1 #4 I have pics. of everything along with some others.I will figuire this pic.thing out this weekend if I cant I will get my 14 yearold to show we how.:D see ya Jerry

wow... only 3rd? im surprised... but then again u didnt have the big sound system or airbags... but in my opinion your car is nice, and i like it better.. im not really into all that big soundsystems (too much weight for speed), and the air bags (just for show)... even tho they are both nice to have, i would RATHER do without... my opinion tho... anyways.. congrats...

Same here, I am more into the Q-ship look. Keep it subtle and make it fast!

Congrats to both of you, the car is a real winner! NOPI is a real big deal in the import world. I've done a couple of Subarus for Hot Import Nights but that is nothing like NOPI!

A few years ago my VW club went to Nopi. I got 2nd my buddy got first. We both were sponsored by Bazooka and in their booth.

That company is a joke.

One thing that stood out to me at NOPI for me was the large amount of cars with swirl marks.

A lot of the top drawer winners looked awesome like the GS here but there were a couple of late model Lamborghinis that were horrendous in terms of swirls and overall wax application.

I bet we Autopians could do well here in terms of prepping and the show cars or getting clients/sponsors...
