NOPI....My client got an award.

I hope these pics come out OK. We spent 3 days getting Dave's GS ready for NOPI. Beautiful cars and lots of competition. It was the first NOPI trip for both of us. The GS took third in Asian Luxury (Mild) I'm the old guy sporting the Autopia shirt and the little boy is my son Donovan. The car speaks for itself....

Looks like you guys had a fun time :)

That GS is still my favorite GS of all time...

What kind of vehicle's recieved 2nd and 1st?

Awesome congrats on the win. That is very impressive. I have seen tons of pics from Nopi this year and the cars that were there were unreal.

Nice job...:xyxthumbs

Guy's I'm hoping Dave (the owner) will chime in on the thread.....It's a pleasure to have clients like him.....He had to fly out on business on Sunday. I'will leave him a message on his voicemail and hopefully he'll respond and post up some better pics. :xyxthumbs

Congrats on the award. The car looks sweet!

I did Rene's metallic green Solara; he was with the SELOC crew. The keyed scratches & his chips were beyond my means but the car looked great otherwise. He said he took 1st in his division.

Thanks guys. I also am part of SELOC and parked in the same area as the Solara - beautful car, nice job!

I'm pretty new at the car show thing & I guess I selected the wrong catergory to compete in (mild instead of conservative). I've got no regrets, both of the cars that got first and second were VERY nice and certianly had more 'show stuff' on them.

The guy that placed second is a show car with a big trunk setup and other mods similar to mine. Very nice car, but he has the video setup in the headrests and big amps / subs under glass in his trunk. His is awesome, but I've set my GS to be a bit more discrete and subtle in my customiztions.

This is the guy that got second (also with SELOC), also supercharged, L-sportline kit, very clean.

Here's the one that one, on airbag suspension, video screens in the engine bay, two in the trunk, in the visors and IN THE GAS CAP DOOR

Trunk is absolutely full of electronics.

Terry did an awesome job helping prep my car (thanks Terry) and his driving down to the show and pitching in on the final setup was incredible. Way to make a client happy!

Here are a few more pics.

Terry/Dave,

The car looks great, you both did a great job! You both can say what ever you want but I think that you should have taken first or atleast 2nd.. The white one is clean and looks great. But that red one is wayyyyyyyy overdone! Just because you have BestBuy in your trunk doesnt make it a car show, I think that his car would look alot better with less Screens and BS all over.. also notice the wheels on the red one, looks as if the polished lip is all scrached up and look like swirls around that gas tank?

Again, the black looks great and I like those wheels as well :)

Great job Terry and Dave. Bretfraz and I were there and we saw some beautiful GSs..I wish we knew you guys were there...would have stopped and said hello.

I had never been to a NOPI event before. I was amazed by all the ricers with scissor doors  and WAY TOO MUCH bass! :shocked (It's about the midrange kids...do you need 6 woofers?)

All in all a very fun day and I got to meet Forest and pick up some Mothers products. Nice guy and knowledgeable. Thanks Forest!

Bass is gooooooooooood :D

At least these guys (me included) put their money into something cool instead of hanging out on the street corner

Nopi Nationals is a giant car show held in ATL each year, but there are regional NOPI shows in various cities. This year "This is the 18th Annual NOPI NATIONALS Motorsports Supershow, which is now the largest in the world. A crowd in excess of 90,000 will be on hand to view the contests and over 7000 show cars and trucks. The NOPI NATIONALS has 7 show divisions with over 300 classes and cash and prizes exceeding $100,000 "

Products on my GS for this show:

Zaino Z7 wash, Z5, ZFX, Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance tire stuff, Meguiar's Hot Shine for the tread and wheel wells. A bit of Langka for chips (oh and a Sharpie black magic for a bleached carpet spot, lol)

Honestly, i would've gave you first instead of those other 2 cars. Great job, GS's are my favorite in the Lexus line up. Keep it up

Agreed. You should have taken the first, man.

Yours looks really good.

White is white - and I don't see anything special there.

I don't know about TFT screen on the gas cap... :scared

I've gotta paraphrase something Scottwax used last night...this car looks like it just rolled out of the paint booth!

I couldn't imagine a more liquid look short of mercury.

If the car with all the TVs is considered "Mild", what would it take to be "Wild"???
