i zaino'd my car yesterday, and didnt finish until 2am...

pretty tired so i threw my towels in the wash (2 waffle weave drying towels, 2 DF Concour towels and 2 costco towels) and i accidentally used Tide LIquid Detergent with Bleach.

i realized my misake today and i remmeber every towel says not to use bleach as it damages the fabric, and now im a bit scared.

i did the CD test on each towel with no scratches, so i guess im fine there, but is there anything else i should worry about? someone told me the bleach used in the liquid Tide is not the same as regular bleach, true? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

also, can anyone tell me if detail shops would do just a Swirl mark removal on my car, and not a full detail? if so, any idea around How mcuh it would cost (assuming its less than a full detail). thanks again!

You should check and see if there are any experience autopians around you first unless you know the people at that detailing shop can do a good and safe job on your car.

I reccommend getting the Sonus Der Wunder Wasche. I use it in the washing machine a cap or two with a load. Or with my pads when I clean them I get a bucket put two gallons of water and a capful and let it soak. Gets out all the polish and it is good for Microfibers.

Only time I ever use bleach is the when I wash the white terry cloth towels but I don't use those on the paint so I don't think it will make a difference.

If it didn't mess up the CD you should be find I just would try not to do it again.

Hope I helped :)

You're right that the "bleach" in detergent-with-bleach products is not the same as traditional, highly aggressive, sodium hypochlorite bleach ("Clorox"). Your towels should be OK.

Most detailers are small businesses. Small businesses are often pretty flexible. Ask them. I think you'll probably find one who's open to just buffing the car and letting you do the rest.

Costs will vary form one area of the country to another as well as between detailers. It's best to check it out directly with your local guys.

PC.

hey thanks a lot guys for your replies... could you point me in the direction on this site where i can find NYC detailers?

also, when i was washing my Sonus Waffle weave towel last night, which i always wash with my other Big Blue... i noticed a rip
