Noob checking in

Hello there, I like clean detailed cars, but never had the time. Now that I have some time, and some collector cars, I thought I'd learn how to do it. Besides normal detailing, I'm looking to repair a bumper cover that has rubbed against another car, so I may need to repaint that area as part of the repair, but I'll try polishing it out first. I have a 1946 Ford convertible with 35 year old enamel paint that is checking and cracking. Anything I could do with that besides repainting? I'll be searching, but those are the initial questions I've got, other than choosing a pad and kit for my d/a. Thanks!

Welcome ! Repaint! If you spend the extra money on a good paint job, it will look great.
