I'm just a regular car guy. I am interested in all motorsports and I have some OCD tendencies that usually lead me to clean one body panel or interior area to immaculate condition and then get bored and move on to something else.
My main motivation for increasing my capabilities and knowledge come from the state of some of my recent auto acquisitions.
'87 Crown Vic LX wagon, White 59k original everything and It looks like it has lived under a tree since new.
'90 Volvo 244DL dirty brass repaint over gold, inside is brittle or broke or worn the hell out.
'97 Volvo 855R red-ish (pink) with some repaint around the rear and side from minor accidents. The genius who repainted it did 2 stage paint - over the original 1 stage so I now have varying degrees of tragedy.
And then there my 3 Emergency vehicles at my station. They are all hurting bad due to the well-fed HARD HARD HARD water we have.
My partner and I have an Ambulance (98 Van), Fire Engine (09 Freightliner), and Tanker/Woods truck (1986 GMC)
So yeah, lurking should keep me quite busy.
