Non-streaking QD on a carnauba

I will also add that I have found Pinnacle CM to have a tendency to streak a little more heavily and a little more easily than other QDs of its nature. It may be due to a high carnauba content, but when compared to Clearkote QS, Adam's DS, and Griot's SS, it is more likely in my experiences to streak.

Me personally, I'd rather use something like S&W or DP Waterless Wash, then OCW, if I was trying to get the most carnauba on the surface with just a spray.

I spray QDs on and wipe them off with a dry MF. Once that one gets damp, I'll still wipe with it, but I follow with another, dry one. I try to actually buff it *dry*. CBTs work great for that final buff BTW.

The following work great (as in idiot-proof, no streaking no matter what I do) on carnuabas and are still available (no more EFCP): QuikShine, Speed Shine, FK 425. Some others do take a little more care to get flawless results; these are the ones that never cause trouble for me.

I left out #34 as it hardly leaves *anything* behind. I like it between polishing steps, but not as a "looks enhancing" QD after a wash. It seems to finish off weak LSPs that're already on their last legs too, whereas the others I mentioned help them hold on until the next wash.

I use a Cobra Super Plush and use the plusher side for the initial spread across the panel, then switch to the finer side for the final buff. I can do a car with two towels this way.

I have yet to try a CBT for QD duty.... I'll have to try that out.

I've heard some good things about FK 425, I may have to put in an order for that.....along with some other things (might as well do it right).

Ouch, my wallet hurts.

That's basically what I do also. I use the plush side for the wipe, spreading the QD around and the fine side for a following pass. After the whole car is done, I follow up with a clean, dry, plush MF towel just to make sure I didn't miss any streaking.
