.. DEATH TO THE MINIVAN!

My dogs lift a leg on your "DEATH TO THE MINIVAN" :lol I'd love to replace it with a Suburban/Jeep SRT-8/*something, ANYTHING* but the dogs are happier with this thing and I'm just their chauffeur :(

Heh heh, since I'm gonna drive the thing, I at least keep it looking good. It's better detailed than my wife's A8  I take a sorta perverse pleasure in keeping it so nice ;)

I agree with the mini-van horrors, but now if they want an interior phone quote, they get $100-$200. That way they can price check and take it or leave it. But it might make them think that they should take care of their van.

Alot of vans have good coverage floor mats, which can make the clean-up easier.

I really hate when they bring them in and they haven't removed anything, i mean car seats, maps, junk in every pocket and on the floor etc. and then said "maybe i should have picked up a few things"

Wait until you pull a Mapsco out of the back pocket on a seat and find it covered in puke. Or find every single compartment in an Astro van filled with fermeneted juice packets crammed in so tight it was hard to remove them. Or a Dakota filled with what appears to be 4 years worth of dog hair and it reeks of dog and cigarette smoke...and then the owner tells you not to worry about cleaning the dash because "I think that is salad oil on it". I didn't even ask. :hairpull

It is unbelievable how absolutely filthy and disgusting some people are.

I have 3 dogs and I own a Audi A4. There just the worse to detail. Like Salty says most people don't even take out the car seats, McDonalds bags, diapers and on and on. There just the less curtiouse. They wash there vehicles less or most not at all. SUV's are getting that way also. People are shocked how much it cost for me to detail them. Hell, there's 3 times more area then a standard 4 door car.

Oh yeah and I forgot DEATH TO THE MINIVAN!

AudiPower- Heh heh, my older dog still gives our A8 "the eye" as if he thinks "without that young one coming along I'd still be riding in cool cars all the time" :furious: The younger (but still big) dog rides in a travel crate and there simply aren't too many vehicles it'll fit in, hence my MPV. I remember packing three big dogs into a CRX back in the day...

I really did find all the anti-minivan comments from you pros enlightening...it simply never occurred to me that people would treat a minivan differently from, say, a Porsche (seriously, no foolin'), after all, it's still the vehicle they're using. Now when I see other minivans on the road I can't help but imagine their interiors looking like the stuff you guys are posting about :scared:

No wonder the guys at the quick-lube were all  about the MPV the other day, they all quit working on the other cars to come over to check out its engine compartment and undercarriage, and were sorta looking at me like they couldn't decide if it was cool or just freaky :chuckle: Must've thought they'd met "Monk" :o

Ditt-O! I finished a 3 year-old Sienna on Satruday. It took me a solid 5 hours to complete the interior and another 6.5 for the exterior (including key scratch repairs along with some big-a$$ chips). I charged a total of 318. I definitely lost money in terms of my time invested, but the couple owns a couple of Bimmers too and this was my first experience with them. Hopefully, they're look of total shock and statement along the lines of "better than when we first got it" extends to their friends and their other cars but sheeeeeesh. I had an entire copier paper box plus some grocery bags filled with cd's, games, tapes, towels, candy bags, etc waiting for them when they picked it up.
