Anyone else find it odd that a section of the board where anything (within the rules of course) can be discussed/shared doesn't get more action?


 


What do you guys think?  Does everyone just mainly come on here to discuss detailing related subjects?  Have other boards that you utilize for day to day ramblings?


 


I've thought about posting some more stuff in here, but it seems like stuff dies pretty quick.

I think it is just that. 

The type of people that are on here are people who are looking for information, tips and wanting to share there work. 

A lot of us are busy when we are not detailing or looking for new products or ideas so there is not much time left for the "off topic" stuff. 

I do enjoy a community of like minded people that share other things than just what they came here for tho. 


 
 
Also I think if people want to discuss everyday topics they just post their woes on Facebook.

More of my Autopian Heresy- Yeah, this site's raison d'etre might be all about detailing, but there are a scad of things that're a *LOT* more important and could maybe bear some attention.


 


I wish the fitness/exercise/diet thread would stay alive, but it never seems to.  If one's paint isn't 100% of what's desired, oooh, it's a big deal!  But if somebody's physique/fitness level/etc. isn't 100% of what they want, IMO that's a whole lot more important.


 


I toy with the idea of posting to the Thought For the Day thread, given TOGWT's absence (what happened to him?  hope he's OK).  IMO there are a scad of philosophical matters that're a lot more important than detailing...but [sigh] people don't come here for that, they come here for detailing.  And eh, seems like everybody thinks they already know everything they need to about life already, huh?  And if they don't, well...are they gonna find the BIG ANSWERS at an online detailing forum?!?
