No idea where to start with this car

The condition on this vehicle is pretty bad with rust starting to settle in with the paint chips. Tons of swirls on the hood and I am sort of concerned about paint thickness. I want to do some correction on this but not a single idea on where to start.

Take a look at these pictures after a thorough washing which I regret cause you can't see some of the imperfections now.:D

Iron X, clay then polish, in the right hands you can get that looking pretty good. If you can get paint then fill the chips as well.

None of the pictures show anything hard to do..
As you get some skills and experience, you will see this as just a day at the shop..
Good luck with this !

I am still trying to figure out how to see how aggressive my polishes/pads should be and how long I should polish certain areas. My car is in good condition so I never really had to work on cars that needed much polishing other than some light polish and a less aggressive pad.

That's why we do a test spot. Start with a light polish and a polishing pad.. If that doesn't work, then step up to a more aggressive polish and/or pad. If that doesn't work, then step up to a compound and a light cutting pad. Repeat this aggressive process up to two times if needed.
