No doubt about it, Armor All is water based

My bottle froze in my trunk over the last 3 days of subfreezing temperatures. Not frozen solid, but very slushy. Still seems to work fine though.

I left a bottle of Black Magic in my trunk for a few days of freezing weather expecting the same thing. To my relief, it remained liquid with no slush or signs of freezing. My bottle of soft soap/water on the other hand turned into a brick that took a day to thaw out.

Black Magic is probably petroleum based and that is why it didn't freeze.

We got down to 13 the other night, coldest temperatures since 1996.

My bottle of Meg's APC is absolutey water based (I added the water myself :D) but it hasn't frozen in the front room of my house (no insulation). Maybe the chems in APC make it less inclined to freeze?

If it wasn't water based you wouldn't be able to dilute it with water .. I use it sometimes diluted 50/50 with water in a paint spray gun to do wheel wells etc. Doesn't even separate.

Wow, haven't seen you post in forever, how have you been?

I can't even remember the last time I used Armor All....or if I ever had a product freeze up on me out here in OC. Wonderful winter weather out here today, a gorgeous 78 degrees and sunny....gotta love it!

Been great Scott .. with the fall detail season and my daughter buying a car for "dad" to help with just haven't had time to post much ... now its house remodeling .. and one room leads to another etc etc .. but still will be back at it come spring .. not bad for a senior citizen .. Just turned 65 in Sept .. so thats over 40 years doing this stuff.

Pix of the car below .. we changed it over from drums to disc . added P/S & P/B, all new brake lines, new heads, new carb/manifold, front coilovers .. just some of the list ... more to come.
