No-Bama Care ?????

Same ol` story here- The only benefit I see from my Health Insurance these days is that the Premiums are less than the Penalty would be if I dropped it. Pre-ACA I had great coverage and very low premiums but now I pay through the nose and everything comes right out of my pocket as I see the Drs. whom I *know* to be competent and I get my Rx`s despite having to pay for them myself.

But sigh...how to fix?

Excessive Compensation?- Outlaw that and the execs won`t work there. Somebody has to run the Pharma Co.s, you want the Govt. to do that...like they run the VA?
Excessive Profits?- If they don`t make enough nobody will invest in/lend to them and they`ll go out of business. Again, you want the Govt. to run them?
Excessive Out-of-Pocket Rx/etc. Costs?- Somebody has to pay for things, if not you then some company (want them to go out of business because their profits drop? What then?) or the Govt. (guess where that money comes from).

I agree that the system is [screwed] up, I`ve recently spent [*well* into five figures] on stuff that I would`ve once expected our Ins. to pay. But I don`t have an answer and even if I did nobody`s gonna listen to *me*.

But the Govt. seems to fail miserably at most everything they try to run, so having them be even more in charge of Health Care doesn`t strike me as a good idea, but rather just a way of making a bad situation worse and far more expensive.

What part of "the Govt. [screws] up almost everything they get involved with" don`t people get?

Whether it can/will be fixed, let alone how to do so, is a completely different topic and lumping everything together just makes for muddled reasoning/discussions. Fixing Health Care is well above my paygrade, but somebody has to pay for everything and people shouldn`t do stuff at which they`re incompetent if doing so can affect other people negatively.

These states face huge Obamacare premium hikes in 2017

Among the states with the biggest 2016 premium hikes for popular low-cost “silver” plans, according to USA Today: Oklahoma rates are set to climb a whopping 42%; Tennessee is expecting a jump of 39%; and Minnesota, Colorado and Arizona, which should all see increases in the neighborhood of 25%.

He should be very proud

I just can`t fathom why this isn`t a bigger story: Imagine if republicans had done the same thing...blatantly lied and then BRAGGED about it. There`s no misrepresentation or "taken out of context". He clearly states that ACA passed b/c voters too stupid to know better. This is the mindset of the leftist elite. The see the average citizen as a "useful idiot". SMH

you answered your own question. in order for it to be reported on and be a story, you need a MSM that isn`t a propaganda outlet for the left

I sure seem to make plenty of incorrect assumptions about some of this stuff :o

Heh heh..[INSERT quip about living in my own little bubble of rationality]

If we would cut back on defense (heresy) and aid to other countries the ACA might benefit from these dollars. If those slackers with student loans would get a job, that would help. Close all foreign military bases and embassies. I`m just getting started cutting unnecessary fat.

I almost posted something about Personal Responsibility but on 2nd thought there are people who need help and I`m trying to be a bit, uhm....more generous.

If we close our foreign military bases/etc. the Russians and Chinese will step in to fill the vacuum, just as China will if certain trade agreements go away. Don`t need to care until we do, and then we might not like the by then set-in-stone situation.

As proved by middle east situation.
