No Autopia sales recently

I`ve noticed Autopia hasn`t run any sales recently. Usually there`s at least one every month.

Same thing going on over at AutoGeek.....there are sales....but not like there had been in the past...I fear we may be seeing the end coming for both

Both sites target customers who are not dedicated detailing operators, more DYI`s who are enthusiasts. Notice both do not offer large containers of products. When one watches the detail type products being sold to the general public using TV and other media in the next couple of months by the the big and accepted brands at the big retailers, they realize that this will reduce their sales volume for a few months. Autopia is a Gold sponsor, as is Autogeek of the worldwide International Detailing Association. This provides them global exposure to dedicated professional detail operations. Visit their site to learn how this huge association is growing and bringing the professional education to the world. I was inducted this year into their Hall of Fame, a real honor. Many other long time experts in the industry are in the Hall of Fame, of which I have known and worked with over the past decades.

I wonder with the price of everything going up so rapidly lately, the online detailing retailers are seeing the prices they pay going up but (for now) holding steady on the prices they sell at, thereby pinching their margins, making the slew of deep discount sales more difficult to swallow?

Many of the required chemicals, such as the dressing resins, etc are imported. Those/most are derived from crude, plus increases in shipping costs, higher prices for plastic bottles, even cardboard packaging are the reason for the constant price increases, all of these, have driven costs higher, often producing higher cost to blenders even weekly. My observations have shown that when one finds a known product being offered for closeout prices, indicates in most times the product is either being discontinued or the "brand" is in financial difficulties and attempting to generate some instant cash flow or go out of business. Inflation is a global issue, affecting all. I see detailers announcing their need to increase the prices of their services due to the inflation of their business cost, yet complain about material costs and shortages of availablity. It is all related, a fact that is going to be around for some more time.

Yup......every one with a minimum purchase requirement. What`s bad is Detailed Image has caught on...and theirs are not as good either anymore due to the lack of competition

They have become expensive. At Autogeek, one gallon of Meguire`s Hyperwash is $43.99.
Same on Amazon is $29.99.
At Autogeek, Chemical Guys Honeydew Foam is $40.99. July 4th sale at Chemical Guys is $29.99 no tax, free delivery.
So, it seems, they`ve increased the price and when they do give a discount, it brings it back down to what you can get it elsewhere for.
They have been ruined.
