Orginally they asked me to refer the top detailers that I knew, the list was large. Apparently Rick Rack, Joe, and I were orginally contacted. Then I was told I have to recommend one person per region, so I choose Josh Vette for the south, Todd from Esortic from the mid-west, Jason from Deep Gloss for the north, the North East and West Coast where already selected. I know Josh got in, did any other autopians make it?

I'm suprised Holden didn't make the cut:nixweiss

There is is a little more than a page of DIY detailing tips on pages 30-31 with Darren Buell and Barry Meguiar.

Thanks! I figured if I wait a few hours, someone would confirm what I suspected! They give a web address (www.autoweek.com/detailers) that I thought would link to the article but it is no longer available. Also, I'm pretty sure that Rick's info and website is out of date, but when I checked out the other websites in the article, they all worked.

The article lists nine total detailers by name, location, and web address. Actually, there are eight, because one is Griot's Garage...I'm pretty sure he will not detail a car for you!

The listed detailers are: Bella Machina, Esoteric Detail, Griot's Garage, Lustr Auto Detailing, Ottman Detailing, Peach State Auto Detailing, Superior Shine, 3 Layers of Gloss Auto Detailing, and Unique Car Care. I recognize most of these names from here. It looks like they listed nine, but highlighted three.

There are five pictures of detailing products at the bottom of the page, with just the product name, price, and a website.

Sweet a lot of forum members made it!

Supererior Shine- fm Superior Fine- Joe Fernandez

3 Layers of Gloss Auto Detailing- Grouse

Esoteric Detail- TC17- Todd (you don't need a last name when your first name is Todd)

Peach State Auto Detailing- gmblack3a- Bryan Burnworth

Ottmann Detailing- Josh Ottmann- JoshVette

Not ure about unique?

Very cool!

I'm really pumped to have made the list along with the quality of detailers in here. There are a tremendous amount of talented and professional people that frequent this forum, and it is truly an honor. It's just a shame that there wasn't space for more, because we could fill up several pages for sure.

Thanks Todd for your recommendation...it means a lot coming from you. Not to mention the fact that you have the coolest name! Let's see...we share names, we've shared a customer from 1000 miles away, and we both wrestled. It's too bad that the similarities end there because you've got seriously madd skillz! I may have you beat in one category though. I'm a competitive ice Speedskater and I will be competing at the Nationals being held up in Michigan in about 3 weeks. :)

Tom, did you get your hood painted yet?

No...not yet. I figured I would do it in March when the worst of the weather is done, and this will be a chance to get the back bumper done as well.

Other than the debris that hit the hood, I think that the paint has held up nicely this winter! Washing it the way you showed me has made a HUGE difference, and the #915/Z8 combo has kept it safe.

I really should find time to say hi.

AW has a small following of 3,000,000 readers.

The value of getting recommended by AW and having one's URL listed there is in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Well done, gentlemen.

I here there arent any detailers in the Mid East :p

Todd, thank you for the referal, I know many detailers more talented so for my name to be in there is a huge honor, I'm truely humbled by this, seriously.

Congrats to all the detailers on Autopia for getting this craft the exposure it deserves. This is just the beginning I hope.

Hey Tom,

I hope you are doing well...

Unique Car Care is my new business name, but not too many people know it yet. I purchased the domain name and have a friend working on the site, so I hope to have it up really soon.

I created a logo design already and have been trying to get the new shop set up before the upcoming busy season. Lots to do, such little time! I also got engaged a week ago, so I have lots going on. You'll have to stop by the new shop to say hello.

Congratulations!! It sounds like you have had a busy winter! I'm looking forward to seeing the new shop, too!
