Nice little Acura CL Type S I did last weekend

This car had a lot of spiderweb swirls in it which was the owner's main concern, plus it hadn't been waxed in several months. I took a pic of it in the sun, but for some reason, maybe because it was the first pic on the new roll, it was either missed and not printed by the developer or my camera screwed up the pic. Regardless, the car looked pretty decent before I started and the swirls were pretty minor.



I used Swirl Free Polish, Vanilla Moose, Final Polish and topped it with Carnuba Moose Wax. The customer wanted the premuim 4 step process since it hadn't been waxed in a while and I was happy to comply. :D

I just posted kudos to you on another thread. This job is simply, oh my gosh. I would have wanted to see the before but the after is awesome.

I'm positive I took one but it never showed up in the pictures. Besides, the before pic would have been in the direct sun and the after pics were in the shade, which is one of the problems with before and after since the sun changes angles, it clouds up, etc and so it is hard to get a direct comparison. Anyway, the car looked pretty good to begin with, just the minor spiderweb swirls that you could only see in the sun.
 
Wow!! Thats amazing how you can make an already hot car look waaaay hotter. awsome, people like you are my role models (actually everyone on this site is...)

I think I spent a total of about 3.5 hours on the car and charged him $100 and he gave me a $20 tip. He is a member of offtopic.com and I usually give them a little break since once they post their car on OT.com, I get other calls. The QEW wash and vacuum only took about 30 minutes or so, so I worked a good 2.5 hours on the paint and then a bit more time cleaning his front mats and the bottom of the driver's side door panel that had some scuff marks.



I did everything by hand, but I am seriously thinking of getting a PC since newer paints are harder than they were when I first started detailing full time in the early 90's and harder paint is harder to work by hand.

(Actually, Scottwax, you've inspired me to try things by hand that most folks have said could only be done by machine .... so I'm really just kiddin' ya!)

I do so many SUVs and trucks after hunting season that a PC makes sense since those vehicles get so scratched up, aka mesquite racing stripes!

where am i going wrong?



I so wanna touch the paint, i have to, i wanna stare at it all day night, help help :rolleyes:
