Nice day to clean the engine bay (GP GTP)

Have to get ready for the car shows this summer :) Wrapped alternator in tinfoil, mist with hose, mist with orange cleaner, mist with hose again, and let her dry. Nothing too complicated. Hoses/wires were dressed with 303.

And for kicks, pictures of my backyard while I was waiting for car to dry...

Looks good. My parents have a Regal GSE with the Supercharged 3.8 engine. It is filthy and I need to do the same thing to it. So all you covered was the alternator?? How strong of a spray did you use?

Yup, just covered the alternator. If your parents aren't that great on maintenance, I'd cover the coil packs too. The spray from the hose was light, 1/4 pressure.

When drying, I drive the car in reverse, hit the brakes then go forward and hit the brakes to slosh the water out (personally I dont let the car run to burn off the water, my coated ported manifolds dont like that too much, so I turn it off quickly)

Yup, I popped an O2 code for a half second when I started the car up after cleaning the engine bay, and then it went away after I took it for a hard rip around the block. Got the water out of the engine bay from the wheel hop. The new struts made a huge difference on the GS.

I'd only over the alternator and coilpacks, and you should be fine.
