Next Generation Zaino Z2 and Z5 are here!

I am pretty sure with ZFX you can add Z2 after you buff the last coat of Z5. I've done this in the past and the results were great.

what you generally could do is put 2x of Z5 on and then 1x of Z2 in one day. Another thing I have seen done is to put one coat of Z5, one coat of half-half Z5 and Z2, and then one coat of pure Z2 on all in one day.

ALB,

Any improvement from the old to new Z5?

As for Z5/Z2 application with ZFX, yes you CAN put Z2 on right away after you just removed your Z5. Just look at Sal's site on this and he says yes you can with the caveot that you can only apply up to 3 coats in one day with ZFX.

My Z2 is pink, but Z5 is the old stuff, DAMN!

Love the way it looks on my Red SC430!! Gotta love this car with Zaino on it! Really looks sharp.

I go through Z6 a lot as I'm always QD'ing the darn thing to keep it up. If Sal could put Z6 in gallons, I'd buy it!

Let me know on the new Z5 improvements in any.

Deanski

Does the new formulations have any improvement in "depth" on darker colors? I have always enjoyed the Zaino Gloss but really missed the depth or richness in color that a carnuaba-like appearing sealant ( EX and BF2) gives. Did they improve this shortfall? :nixweiss

I finished removing the first coat of Z5 on the dark blue corolla (this is the new stuff, used 1/4 of an ounce) and the residue is about the same to buff off as the older Z. THere were some spots where I had to sue some Z6 to buff. Must of been where I re applied some Z6 to the applictor. They came off and the finish is a tad darker and glossier. I like it. I then Z6'd the car.

I applied the second coat and used 1/8 of an ounce. I know really small amount, but this time I did not use Z6. I used Zaino straight on a foam applicator pad (used to apply the previous coat.)

It must of been the bare paint because the first coat sucked up a lot of product. the second coat I didn't have to sue as much to spread a really thin layer.

I still have an 1/8 of an ounce of Z5 with ZFX. I think this will do a third coat just barely.

I will report on depth and gloss later. currently enjoying a big 16 ounce tub of Kozy Shack pudding.....

I ment of the new stuff compared to the old is it still plastic looking ?

Right...

Yes. Because it doesn't distort your paint, it looks just like your essentially plastic clearcoat.

I still favor my AIO,UPP,S100 Combo Overal.l I also tried Meguiars polymer sealent topped with s100 looked fantastic.

Old vs New Zaino. New is on the right. (Thanx to Afr0puff)

You can just make out the shade difference between the new and old. Also, the new Z-2 comes with a white cap. And there is a drastic color change between the old and new Z-5, so there is no way to confuse those.

OH well....

"I'm sorry but, larger sizes for my products are not available at this

time. Most of my larger accounts purchase case quantity and agree that

Show Car Products are concentrated and go very far. "

Darn it! Could really use Z6 in gallons!

Gee, wonder if he gives case discounts?
