Newest - v. Saab Towed, Malibu Maxx, Highlander, Gr. Cherokee

Tom: The more and more people I talk to, they say the Volvo. Her dad has a 93 Wagon with 250k on it. Original paint, engine, tranny, etc and still truckin along with no problem :)

Scott: Yes true!

As far as NXT, I don't have a PC :( , yet :D. I am purchasing one for Liz to learn :). I have applied NXT via rotary and finishing pad at very low speeds in the past. This has acted in the same matter as a PC IMO. I just felt I could bang it out quicker by hand.

I like UPP. I have got a nice routine down now for it's cure time. I'll do the cleaner, then apply UPP. While it's drying, I dress the wells, tires, and trim x 2. I then clean all of the windows and wipe the rims down. By that time, it's time to come off. I have version 3 and it only took about 15 mins to dry which isn't too bad IMO. The look is great and it's slick as snot :lol

Jon: Yeh, 9-2x doesn't count :). We can talk Snaab stories when I detail for you :).

Looking forward to the GVR4 as well.

Great work as usual.

Your story reminds me of a mechanic who once told me "Where there's smoke, there's a SAAB.

Unfortunately it was true in this case.

The Vic: My gf was :lol at that comment.

cheapshot: I feel AIO is far more effective by machine. It really cleans up the surface nicely and leaves it VERY slick.

montoya: The main reason is due to the paint color. Secondary reasoning is due to the want/need to try something new.

I'm regaining a love for AIO though :)

That white Highlander looks exactly like the one my gf has... well almost (hers is a 2004, so there's no antenna on the passenger side fender)

I used AIO + UPP when she first got it back in March, then added a coat of WG back in July. The WG seem to be beading fairly well still... I'm not sure what I'll be using as an LSP next.

You're right about machine polishing with AIO though - leaves the surface spic & span! I'm not too fond of detailing champagne colored cars either... just doesn't show off the amount of effort you put into it enough.

:angry AHHH To much Saab bashing here! I love mine even though it's newer no problems thus far. I'm really hoping it will prove a reliable car for the long run.

Great details on there!

If you ever need Saab help saabcentral.com is a great community and resource to work or your little saab quirks!:D
