Biggest lesson for newbie (and in spite of my description, I'm still a noob) to learn is that a great appearing finish is at least 95% preparation and 5 % product. It is always a trade-off between when is prep ENOUGH, and when isn't it. You WILL NEVER get every last imperfection out of the paint [in a daily driver] and, as always there is the irresistable urge to try out your finishes....



My recommendation at this point is to prep your car as best you can and apply your finish as best you can. Look up a car show or fellow autopian and ask what was done to achieve the specific result you are interested in. Then go, make any purchases you deem applicable, and try your hand at it. Every time you will learn a little more and your vehicle will slowly begin to look better and better.



Repeat until you die.
