OK, so I have been reading these forums (and the detailing guide) for a while and have been trying to figure out the exact procedure for detailing my car and what products to use. I own a Rally Blue Pearl 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS and it is in need of a good detailing(has swirls, small scratches etc.). I am getting a PC 7424 & sonus pads for Christmas and want to start collecting the products so I can detail over the christmas break.
Here is what I have in mind right now, if someone could tell me which pads to use for each as well I would appreciate it:
Wash - Eagle 1 Wet Car Wash
Claybar - Mothers
Swirl remover - SSR2.5
Polish - ????
Sealant - Poorboys EX-P
Wax - Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss?? Meguiars #16 Professional Carnauba Paste Wax:?? Natty's Blue??? Souveren??? (Maybe a layering of 2 of them??)
Also what is the process for doing this? From reading I understand it to be, Wash- Claybar - Wash - Swirl Remover - Polis - Wax - Sealant. Is this correct??
One more question, can I apply all these products with the PC or should I do some by hand?
Phew...I know, alot of questions but I have not been able to find the exact answers that I have been looking for so I thought I would finally post and hope someone would help me out.
Thanks very much!!
