Hey fellas, I've been a guest on & off for a couple of years and now Im an active member. I have been contemplating on going mobile for a while but always put it off. I think Im ready but nervous. Only nervous about marketing and I'm not that confident in my swirl removing techniques. I'm targeting office parks first.

I have yet to find the proper pad/was combo to do this. The pads I use most are the orange and yellow pads. I have Poor boys SSR2.5, a dealer brand 2000 grit wax. I also have a heavy compound and some polishing waxes. Can somebody recommend a pad/wax combo if I wanted to remove swirl marks from dark colored car? I use a Porter Cable DA and an off-brand hi-speed polisher from Pep Boys. Help me out here. I would greatly appreciate it!

For those of you that deal with office parks and fleets, do you have contracts?

Thanks in advance! I have already gotten a great deal of info from this site so thanks to the novice bro's and pro's!!

Welcome to AutopiaForums!

Depending on what kind of results you are after, there are many different ways to go. For non-perfectionist work, I would consider a good AIO like Megs D151 or BF TP&S. May not get everything out but do pretty good. For perfectionist work, you will need something to remove swirls and then likely a great finishing polish.

For removing swirls I would look at Menzerna's line of polishes and Lake Country foam polishing pads (with a Porter Cable). There are a lot of threads which cover what pad and polish combos work best but I would go with Lake Country Hydro-Tech pads to keep it simple.

Cyan Hydro Tech Pad- Menzerna FG400 - Great combo for heavy swirls, requires follow up polishing

Tangerine Hydro Tech Pad- Menzerna PF2500- Great medium polish which finishes nice. Use for most 1 step polishing applications

Crimson Hydro Tech Pad- Menzerna SF4500- Use for bringing out the extra gloss after using the Cyan Hydro Tech Pad/FG400 combo.
