Hey Everyone.

My name is Jeff and I am from Yellowknife Northwest Territories, Canada. I have been detailin cars on and off for over 10 years and want to learn more and improve my skills...

Looking to meet new buddies and learn lots!

Thanks, JC

Welcome to Autopia.org! Good to have you aboard Jeff! Don't hesitate to search through our library of detailing history or create some yourself.

Welcome Jeff.

Lots of help here and you'll learn a great deal.

It's good to see another Canadian, I'm from Vancouver Island, very near the capital city, Victoria.

Here in the Victoria area, we've had a couple of days of sun and relatively good weather. The last few days I've taken the doggie out for walkies and actually felt heat in the sun.

How's Yellowknife?

If there's anything I can do to help, just give a shout,

-John C.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!:tea:

Yellowknife is a poorly maintained city with roads that are no less complete garbage, the city puts tons of rocks and sand on during the winter and it gets H O R R I B L E! when the snow melts the streets look like a bomb hit them. Lots and lots of pot holes and heaves. We only have 2 places to get your car cleaned, one is a coin wash that is $13.13 for 10 mins, then you get an additonal $1.25 a minute after that. The place is a dump and looks the part.

The other place is a detailing shop, and they do a okay job, prices vary but they are at the end of a DIRT road if you can beleive it lol.

I just got offered a space in a stereo shop to do detailing and I want to jump back in it with both feet, the only thing is the shop does not have a drain, so getting wet feet will be expected lol.

I worked on a flyer and name for my business - 5th Avenue AutoSpa. I want to become a way better detailer (I get tons of compliments as it is right now) and learn more quality skills.

I only have Canadian Tire to buy my products initially, but once I get more established I plan on getting the professional grade stuff.

I just need some direction and lean on you guys for support and techincal advice!

I will post up some pics and support this community as much as possible, thanks!

JC,

If you ever wanted to try mail order products because of a better quality, have a look at eshine.ca. Chris Pace is the owner, he's really good, offers high end products, and I'm thinking he'd ship to Yellowknife in a heartbeat. He's Canadian eh.

Good luck with your new business,

-John C.

That is awesome. I have been near Yellowknife. Took a trip up through northern Alberta to the Great Slave Lake and Buffalo Lake. Beautiful country.

Welcome aboard.
