Newbie Freakin' Out after using SSR2.5 on new 2010 8 week old black G37

Will keep bucky's in mind.

Spoke to txrockstar on the phone and I will be heading over to his
house tomorrow to see what I can do with his issue. Does not sound
too bad from talking to him. Will bring both the flex and pc and some
pads along. Maybe he can do some practicing on my car since it is néed
of a polish job bad!!!!

:bigups

Met with txrockstar (chuck) today at his house. Like I expected, it was not that bad.
So I started with the pc and ssr 1 with a polishing pad. Did a quarter of the hood and
bam, good as new. Next was Chuck's turn with the pc. Worked like a charm.

We did the other half of the hood with the flex, ssr 1 and polishing pad. I feel we did a 99% correction on the hood. Chuck was going to top with 2 coats of ex and next week a coat of (vanilla moose wax??)

it was a pleasure meeting you Chuck. You can always call if you run into any other issues.

Nice job Redwings. Glad it wasn't as bad as txrockstar imagined.
... Chuck was going to top with 2 coats of ex and next week a coat of (vanilla moose wax??)
....
txrockstar, if you are still following this thread...do not top your 2 coats of EX with VM. You will more than likely undo some of what you have accomplished with the EX. Read on CK's website the intended use of VM. AFAIK it is not intended as a topping glaze. It will compromise your EX. If you want a glaze, check out PB's Black Hole. But you will want to top that also.

Trent (Redwings) is the Rockstar. I am not even worthy of being his roadie at this point (simply a groupie). I am very appreciative of Trent taking time out of his weekend to stop by and help me out. I went from shocked (from my handy work) to being awed by Trent's correction work (on my error). Trent is a real pro. And I also grateful for helpful pointers he provided.

As all of you are black belt detail masters...I will now don my white belt. I wonder if the site will allow me to change my handle to "Grasshopper"? Wax on...wax off.

I have the Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax (not the Vanilla Moosehead glaze...) -- sorry, I got confused. I would not put a glaze on top of the EX. I've learned that from reading these posts.

I bought the Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax before I discovered the "awesomeness" of the PB products. My next Carnuaba will of course be the PB NB.

Polish...then PB Blackhole glaze...then PB EX sealant....then wax (I don't top the EX with Carnuaba until about a week later --- of course after a thorough wash of the vehicle.

I believe that you can top EX w/Black Hole. You just need to top BH w/more EX or carnauba wax or don't expect much longevity from the BH.

And with the Moose Wax, I think it is a cleaner wax. Nothing wrong with that, just FYI.

I'll take the pic after I wash it again -- or wipe it down with the PB Spray & Wipe I just ordered. The hood is already dusty...I wish somebody would invent some type of anti-static liquid to apply to the car and then buff off to keep the dust away.

I guess I could always just take several Bounce dryer anti-static dryer sheets and rub all over the car. I'll try that later and see how it works...
