After having detailed my NSX I decided to tackle my wifes Audi A6. The paint was/is in considerable worse shape then the NSX.Audi clearcoat is known as really hard. So, I followed a tried recipe:
-Wash with Zymol
-Clay with Meg's clay
-light cut pad with Menzerna Intensive Polish
Well, I'm using (2) 500 watt Halogen lights in my garage and was not happy with the finish after Menzerna Intensive Polish
AFTER MENZERNA INTENSIVE POLISH
So, following the advice of those in the know, I stepped up the abrasive product to Meguire's # 82 swirl free polish and it took care of a lot that Menzerna Intensive Polish left behind, but it still had flaws.
AFTER MEG'S #82 SWIRL FREE POLISH
Now it looks worse, but maybe it's the photo. but trust me Meg's #82 did better.
The following pix is of the fender in the sun after Menzerna's IP:
So what gives?
Is it the halogen lights fault because it does look fine outside in the sun.
Or am I being too picky when viewed in my garage under intense lighting?
*More steps to follow
Thanks in advance for your reply.
