Hi all! My name is Jason and I am a Newb to this website.

I've always been a stickler when it comes to the look of my cars. I currently consider myself a "novice" in the car detailing area, but I'd like to step my game up.

I currently use the Sonus product line for polishing and Zaino as a sealant. I've always been happy with the end product.

My question is, are their other products out there that would benefit me more than the products I'm using currently???

Thanks!

Probably.

While never having tried the Sonus polishes, Ive always really enjoyed the Megs 105/205 combo.

Zaino is pretty popular but a lot of people like to use carnauba waxes such as Pinnacle Souveran, etc. and the Collinite offerings. Sealant wise, UPGP and Blackfire Wet Diamond are popular too.

Do you have a machine polisher?

TTT, any other suggestions???

I was looking at the different types of pads....jeez this looks a bit confusing! I have flat Sonus pads now....dunno if I should keep with those or go with LC or something like that.

I would suggest to keep what you have and read the forum for a week or two. There are lots of people here and everyone has an opinion on what works best and the worst thing to do is to buy a product, try it and fail because you have no idea what was supposed to be achieved from said product. One guy can use nothing but the entire 3m line and achieve the same result as another with Menzerna/LC/Swissvax/Holy water/etc., it's all about what works for you.

Read about everything out there and see if something strikes you fancy for one reason or another and go from there.

Where can you get this Holy Water, and is there a discount code??

j/k, that's good advice to the OP.

hahaha

to the OP

I like LC flat pads in the 5.5" size with a 5" plate. menzerna polishes, and 105 compound. I am gearing more and more towards the chemical guys line up as far as chemicals/accessory type stuff goes. I also just received a couple bottle of some PRIMA polishes to try out and give a review on...Ill be testing those on thursday on a camry

Thanks for the advice guys!!!!

Ronnie: Yea I've been on clubgp for ages now! LOL, started tooling with the GTP back in 03!!! I got into the detailing about 2 years back with "dubob" and i've been hooked ever since!

I need to get some holy water!!!! lol
