New with Dupray Hill injection..

Hi, Just a short introduction. I recently bought a Dupray steam cleaner and am finding out the things i can do with it. I joined this site because of the great information i can glean...and if i can share anything, ill be on it.
So far the machine seems ok. i cleaned the oven glass which was, unbeliveable. I couldnt even budge that baked on mess with the nylon brush...almost gave up and sent the machine back but then tried the stainless brush and the stuff came off really nicely. I figured id do this while the wife was at school and id surprise her when she got home...after all i have to sell her on this rather expensive cleaning device. I couldnt believe it wouldnt touch the staining in the oven! I realize that you have to use the right tool for the job and youl be ok. Could i get the same results with a less costly machine? probably. But ill never know now! lol The machine looks like its very well made, in every way actually. The attachments look and feel like money well spent. Any tips and advice would be well accepted. Thanks for your time! Ron, Vancouver,B.C.

You've convinced me of what I already suspected. The machine is not worth the money

The best thing I've found that works is scrubbing like crazy and a shop-vac

Duprays are awesome machines. My friend has one and its great. Way too rich for my blood, but if I had the money I would buy one.

Thanks everyone. I want to say i love the machine because i spent so much on it! Ive only used it a couple times so i'll need more time in the saddle. I guess i have to remember that this isnt a heavy duty machine meant for large expanses, but its more tuned for smaller detail work. I did scrub the deck yesterday with the large brush only and it was super..now ive got a 6'x6' perfectly clean area on my deck! Ill have several goes at it until i get it all :) When i used the "hot water injection" for the first time in real use that is when the dirt just came off, amazingly. I wish companies would just be truthful about their product. give us the good and the bad...dont hide the bad. Be a company that people can really trust. Try finding reviews of this machine online that arent from Dupray...few and far between. The replacement brushes are $50 for a pack of 10...that is rediculous. The "microfiber" cloths they sell are cheap quality....anything cheap that goes along with a supposed "Quality" machine makes the machine itself, and the company look cheap. They should sell only Tergo microfiber products. Its ALLLLL in the details! Ok, my rant is done for now. Ill be back once ive done my truck :) Im actually concidering buying another machine, its a 600 dollar unit that is used for $150 and i want to compare them. its a swiss made unit. Im curious how this will be!

Welcome !!!

Listen, I've never heard of it. So if you like you could send it to me for complete testing and evaluation.... :)

I went and gave the srt-10 a go with this thing. There is not much to say in the way of awesome.. The pressure is pretty good for a few minutes. if you are doing small areas, wiping ect...then it will last quite a while. I went to wash the motor down and all i got for a "injection" was a solid stream, or squirt with little puffs of steam. I thought i got a bum unit, then looked at the temperature and it was at around 260-270 I waited until fully charged...a few minutes then gave it a shot and then it worked like it does in the video. I would not recomend one of these for washing even your own private cars exterior...it just takes way to long. A hose and bucket of water, wash mit and your set. Its good for the hard to get off gunk but youl never rinse your truck down with it. I only did the drivers door panel and wells. It got the door pockets pretty good so i was happy with that. I am in a wheelchair so i only get done what i can before i get tired...or uninspired. I should have done more research before going with this machine. I thought i chose wisely though, as i wanted something i could move around myself, that wasnt so bulky..and it had the "injection" while i couldn't find any others in the size that had that feature. I think im a fairly level headed person.. for a machine with a normal retail price of just under $3,000.00 on sale for $2299.00 I thought i was getting a real fine piece of machinery. Concidering they start at around $650 Now that ive had time to look this stuff up i realize that what i was expecting was performance that you get in a $7,000 unit, for $2,500 But the 7k unit is a huge 400lb industrial type machine, lol What i would like just does not exist in a portable unit.

You must be talking about the Vapor Chief. Now THOSE machines are beasts.
