Thanks for the reply ronvon, the orange peel is actually a ripple, as in being reflected into water.

I may slice some water into the logo if I can find a picture with an appropiate scene.

Well I did some searching and found a water picture and real quickly put this together.

What do you all think?

I like the second one. Cool concept, but maybe a little too much blue?

Keep the blue water effect and blue reflection color, but make your company name stand out a little more. You know what I mean? Find a darker color that works well with the blue and go with that.

I did a brief search for an online color wheel. Give it a whirl (no pun intended!). Check it out! http://www.ficml.org/jemimap/style/color/wheel.html

Just a thought.

Thanks again for all the input guys, greatly appreciated:)

The design below originally had a car sitting on top of my biz name but I couldn't get it to look right. I think it's because the angle of the car was just all wrong so I am going to take more pictures of the yellow Porsche next week and try again.

What I did do is replace the car with some flare lighting an dkinda liked the results. What's your opinions?

Thanks,

Anthony

What kind of program are you using?? I was thinking of just hiring a pro logo maker to make me one. I saw some places that make a pretty decent one for around $40. But I'd rather make it myself if I can get the program for cheap, and if there are some nice free tutorials out there.

I'd try something that reflects your company image and theme. That medical "Dr. Shine" one was a good idea. What do you do that's different from everyone else? Is it where you detail? What you wear? With a good central theme, you could spread the logo past your website.

2001civicex- Where did you go to get those done?? I like the style of those. I especially liked the danase.com one. That is the kind of style that I want for my logo.

Some of the places that offer designs of that price, have decent styles. But some also look cheap/handdrawn. They look too cartoonish. And also only offer a couple of revisions. Please let me know where you got those done. Thanks.

Once again I thank you all for the input and ideas:up

I spoke with a design person and they said I need to think simple and clean rather than "bling bling", which is the look I was trying to get.

They also told me that I should get rid of my biz name in all CAPITOLS and go to lower case. Do a simple font in gold or chrome and do another simple "reflection".

So here is the result of their tips and at first I really disliked it but it is kinda growing on me now:xyxthumbs They suggested a car in the background BUT it must be faint and while it can be a bold and bright color it should be toned dwon with shadows. So we are working on incorporating a car, a yellow Porsche GT3.

Thanks again,

Anthony

Yes, I totally agree with the designer. Simplicity is key. Those others were just a little too "bling" for my tastes. That last one is definately the best one.
