I still haven't put the vx5000 through its paces yet... just using it around the house. It pulled some stuff from under my toilet rim that really grossed me out and was really embarrassing too. I have done all kinds of household cleaning with it and am really pleased so far. Never really seems to run out of steam like the cheap units.
When I was looking at the extractors, I almost went with the aztek, but was afraid it wouldn't be enough of a machine in terms of heavy use, reliability, and being serviceable. I could be wrong about this too. I wanted the Sensei so bad I could taste it! I knew it was a great machine, but didn't want to spend quite that much (at least not yet, lol). But I got the Cross-American because it fit nicely in my budget, they seem to have a really good reputation within the carpet care industry, and I knew I would be able to service this machine myself if I needed to. I hate to ship things out for service!

When you consider that I had to buy a new house vacuum last month at $400.00, the steamer is more than a steal. I doubt that it will stay at that price very long.
