New toys - oops - tools...and storage problem

Over the last week or two I've added a few essential items to my garage, but I'm running out of space!

Anyone who has been through this problem, and can suggest a solution for a tight space? Pics follow.

An air compressor, a Powerbuilt low profile 3 ton floor jack, and my old 2 ton jack all line up along the edge of the garage wall. I fall over them every time I walk back from my Jag.

Probably can't do any better than here with the SL500 top stored above the Jag - no room on the ground in any case!

Probably the best place for this creeper is here on the wall. I've secured it with a small wall hook to keep it from falling.

An afterthought...

The more I look at the USA-made Powerbuilt products, the happier I am. They are really well put together. And if weight equates to quality, then they are top class.

This creeper in the previous picture is a heavyweight - probably weighs 20-30lbs, yet is easy enough to skid round on.

The Powerbuilt 3 ton floor jack is another example. Weighs 106lbs and is solidly made - quality again. It may well be made in China as many items are these days, but if so they've done a remarkable job.

And my Powerbuilt tool chests are high quality too...bearing drawers and well crafted with a superb finish.

A good investment all round!

Given the weight, I don't see much alternative to the floor! The creeper yes can be wall hung but the jack etc, no way! Either you find a home for them outside the garage (garage extension?) or you leave them there. If you have some shelving somewhere or something similar then you can slide them under. Only other thing that leaps to mind is the compressor - does it have to be mobile? If not, wall mount it and run hard lines as and where they would be useful and take the opportunity to give yourself a choice of oiled and non-oiled lines

Will the jacks slide under the tool chest? You could mount the creeper higher and position the larger jack under it. The creeper's vertical presence will help keep your feet away from the jack. How about an exterior "dog house" (or cat house since you have cats) to house the compressor? That would keep the heat and noise out of the garage.

Hey, that's something I hadn't considered. Thanks.

Might work, but there's the wife factor to consider here... it's on a direct path to our laundry and I can visualise her now with an armful of washing, tripping over the jack and heading straight for the bonnet of the SL. (Of course, I'd rush to her aid first! :))

Good memory on the cats! Yes, I like that idea.
