New tool that I picked up!

I bought a new tool for the shop. It's a motorcycle dryer that puts out a 112mph of wind to dry bikes. Works great for drying crevasis around mirrors, door handles, engine and the list could go on. The unit is about $50 and worth every penny! It's like a mini leaf blower with a rubber end just incase you come to close to the paint. I pointed it at my wife in the store when I tried it out and messed her hair up! Now, that was funny!:nana: Until we got home! :rules:

Hey, I like that cordless one. Cheapest price listed on Froogle is $87.35 at toolbarn.com. Only weighs 4.6 lbs and operates up to 9.5 minutes. Sounds pretty well suited for the job and not all that much more than the no-name one he linked to on ebay.

Be a good idea to do a thourgh search online. I paid 9.95 for mine. I was blue instead of orange. I also have a black one from Pep Boys that cost 19.95.

Sounds like a supercharged hair dryer. Not that loud for the amount of time you'll use it.

Note that unfortunately that price is just the bare blower; i.e. no battery or charger is included. From the Makita site that's the only way they package the tool though Tool Barn and others do sell it with the charger and battery(ies), in the $200 range. On the other hand, if you happen to own another Makita cordless tool that uses compatible batteries then you are set. I have a drill but it's a 14.4V one so I assume the batteries won't work. :doh
