I'm a newbie too, but with an older car.
I lurk a lot here, reading posts and threads. I've created a "recipe book" for detailing from the tips here. Like for window cleaning, I've got 5 or 6 different suggestions. So when I run out of what I've got, or am unsatisfied, I open it up and give something a try.
I find the initials for things, QD, LSP, R2D2, etc., a little tough to follow.
If you are new to detailing, pick an area and get good at it: interior cleaning or exterior paint protection. Have some fun, start with an uncomplicated 2 or 3 step system, then watch the guys/gals that show their pics and rip off their system. Once you get basics, move deeper, expand products.
Just some suggestions.
