New to autopia, need a new wax for my freshly painted dark red car

Hey guys, lurked for awhile getting some info but officially signed up so I could get some tips for a good wax for my new paint job on my G35.



I want to take care of this paint the best that I can and that means using higher quality products. In the past I used what I could find at O'reilys (Meguires products including NXT 2.0 wax and their deep crystal polishing system.) I'm looking to get something new that is going to protect my paint and show all the detail in it.



I created a custom color using House of Kolor paint which has around 11 total coats.

1 primer

1 sealer

2 base coat

4 top coat

3 clear coat



I've heard some good stuff about the dodojuice products but I would greatly appreciate it if you guys had recommendations on a wax that would make my car look even better. The photos don't show the detail in the paint and I want something that will show the depth and color.

If you have good custom paint and really want it to pop for car shows, Zaino is really hard to beat. The key to keeping your paint looking its best isn't a wax, it is a good wash and drying technique as well as keeping it out of the elements.

Like yakky said, prep is everything. With your paint I would definitely go with a sealant to intensify the 'liquid' look you have going on. Nice ride.

Duragloss stuff can be had at any Carquest and they are functionally equivalent to Zaino at about 1/2-1/4 the price. Grab some 105 and give it a shot, its a great sealant. Do some reading here, there are some other great products in the line like the wash, the QD, and DG501 (yeah, the RV stuff!).
