new subaru questions

Hey all, I just purchased a 2013 Subaru Impreza 4 door in dark grey metallic. I'm a diy'er, but not a newb, just looking for some tips on this paint (my last car was GM arctic white) and on the interior, the dash is very rubbery feeling soft touch.

It's a daily driver and family hauler. I've used Zaino and Duragloss products in the past. But I'm looking a good mix of Durability, ease of use, and price. (in that order).

Thanks, Hope I put this in the right spot.

Very nice car. MY wife is GM it a local Subaru dealership. I have detailed several Subaru's in the past and for price and good quality on the darker colors I use Chemical Guys Blacklight followed by Chemical Guys XXX wax. When I wash it I will usually top them with Chemical Guys V-7. Looks great, priced well, a little of each goes a long ways, and has great protection. On the interior I use Chemical Guys Natural Shine dressing. They also make a gloss dressing for interiors. For the price Chemical Guys are hard to beat. Just my choices.

What ever product you decide to put on the car for protection. I would recommend that you clay the car first. Lots of surface contaminants can get on the car in transit and not all dealership do much in this area.

If was my car I would put on two or three coats of sealant

Yeah. Clay is gonna be mandatory. Chemical guys looks good to try right now with the fall back special. Hmm decisions.

So, I decided to give chemical guys a try. Got all the necessities. Except since all the photos of their 16 oz products shows them with a spray top...I assumed a sprayer came with each one. I assumed wrong.

I was looking forward to a warm thanksgiving for a nice detail, Oh well.
