New Shoes for my 350Z.

Well with spring approaching I couldn't hold off any longer and decided to put on the new wheels that I purchaed for my 350Z back in November. Trust me it has been killing me to put these on. New mods include Stop Tech 13.1 inch big brake kit, Borla exhaust, Rotora cross drilled rear rotors with G2 painted calipers. Wheels are 19 inch Volk Mercury Silver GTC's with Toyo T1S Proxe Tires.

Onto the detail. I finally able to complete the spring detail on the 350Z. It was done in two stages do to weather and time constraints.

Part 1:

Fenders, Hood, Rear panels, trunk area.

Wash NXT

Megs #83 with LC yellow pad

Megs #80 with Megs 8006 polishing pad

2 coats of NXT by PC

Removal with Pakshak MF bonnets

Part#2 (about two weeks apart)

Front end, roof, and doors

Wash NXT

PB's SSR 2.5 with Propel Green pad

Megs #80 with Megs 8006 polishing pad

Wolfgang Sealant

Klasse AIO on Wheels

Poorboys Wheel Sealant on wheels

Removed with Pakshak MF's

Megs Insane Tire Spray on Tires

I was actually surprised that I got hazing with the Propel pad and the SSR. Even with the LC yellow pad and Megs #83 I had no issues. The hazing was cleared up with the #80 without any problems.

I have a love and hate for black. Its so hard to keep it looking great even though its covered constantly. I can't imagine someone who did not care for their car like I do owning a color like this. I plan to top with Pinnacle Souveran in about 1 week.

Onto the pics. I just wish the sun was out for some of these. I am so ready for spring.

Awesome Z! The wheels and big brake kit really set the car off really nice. And not to mention, the perfect detailing job.

One baad a$$ Zee car. What kind exhuast is that? HKS?,Greddy? That's not a stock exhaust for sure.

:bow Maybe the best Z detail I have seen. :xyxthumbs

Those wheels are beautiful and really offset the black mirror :D paint well.

Silverlexus...Thanks for the compliments. The paint still has some imperfections that I am pretty sure will have to be dealt with a rotary buffer. I am still happy with the way it came out.

About 90% of the swirls are gone from the prior owner.

Should be much easier to take care of now

Aww heck yeah Pat!!!! :bow :2thumbs: Another gorgeous Z car is well on its way to becoming "Patified"...immaculately detailed and impeccably modded!!

I've seen a few Z's around here with that same Fairlady badge...what is that exactly??

Very, very cool :xyxthumbs

In fact, I brought my father into my room to check it out :p

Looks awesome, and elegant mods :bow

Looks great Pat!

Love the rims. I'm a bit old school and I like rims with a bit of "deep dish" to them, and they fit the bill perfectly. It makes the car look meaner and less "super tuned" if you know what I mean. Great Job!!!

Are the wheels polished? Cleared?

Pat,

All I can say is... SWEET!!!:bow

I really love those wheels! They set the car off just right! Also, great detail on black- deep, shiney, wet and liquid!

Thanks for posting the wonderful pics!:xyxthumbs

Cheers,

1 Clean WS6 That badge is now offered for the 350Z. As you know the Z is called the Fairlady over in Japan.

Intercooled The wheels are polished with a clearcoat. The day was not without incident. The lug wrench slipped from my hand and put a nice scratch in the rear lip. When I got back home I decided to try to rub it out with some metal polish. The scratch started to lighten but I guess I rubbed too hard cause it look like I went through the clear alittle bit.

Now the scratch looks worse...:angry :angry

I guess I will be calling a couple of wheel repair places to see if they can do something about the scratch.

Only me...:o

That's a gorgeous 350Z! Those wheels compliment it beautifully. What size tires do you have? From what I've read, most people seem to have wider tires on the rear.
