*New Shine Detailing* cars thread

I last detailed this rover in September. I put a coat of FK1 #1000 synthetic wax on it back then.

Exactly 9 months later the paint was still in excellent shape, even though the car sits outside 24/7!!!

So anyone doubting FK1's claim about their 12 months protection - it is true.

Another full detail

This time it was way too hot so I used:

here is an example why I sent my camera back to Canon. The 3 pictures were taken 60 seconds apart. Full sun! Look at the second picture.

last one tonight

that sl550 was picked up in germany like 2 weeks before I did the detail on the clk. Havent touched it yet.

Dealer did manage to buff the trunk despite being told NOT TO TOUCH THE CAR!

Trunk is full of rotary holograms, but no cobwebs/swirls.

Rest of the car was in perfect condition.

I will start this thread and continue to post my details, instead of starting different ones if that doesn't break any rules. I have too many pictures since I haven't posted in a long time. I start with this BMW 540 My camera was sent back to Canon so I used someone else's. This was a full detail, but no interior pictures. Car was in pretty good shape to start with.

How did you like using the fk1 330? I was thinking of getting some.

Great job on the car by the way!!!

thanks man - 330 is an excellent product. Smells and acts like Meg's #80, but without covering up defects. I polished out a sebring with it and removed all the swirls. It also makes the paint darker/shinier. Try it. I just wish FK1 was sun friendly. Well, at least #2180 is.

Cool I will order some up next time.

Have you tried the 217 (new version of 185)?

No I haven't. I still have some 185 - is it different?

as an AIO product, 185 gives the best look I've ever see. Very unique. I love it.

Little correction: 330 contains a slight amount of wax, so it can cover very minor marring. Its chart consists of a "protection" rating as well.

185 is the same as 217. I have the 185 and I absolutly love this stuff. I used 215 today and it worked amazing on one of my used cars. I also used 336ng and it worked amazing(a little dust though) very shiny and bright!!!!
