Well I just could not afford the corvette any longer. My AH,SB,MF boss has reached in my pocket since 9/11 to the tune of about 20%. So with a tear in my eye I had to say bye last Sat. nite. I bought a new PT Cruiser from a friend that sells them and I think he did me right. Anyway I would not even let them wash it with their stupid brooms, it was about 10pm and my wif and I had been a t the dealer since 5 so I just hosed it offf and took her to Outback. Sunday morning I washed the PT and put on a coat of NXT. BTW, the color of the PT is sea foam green or metallic teal. Well, it did not shine like I thought it would. Don't know if I'm spoiled by the red vette or not. Any suggestions what to do to a new car finish?:wavey

Sounds like it needs some deeper polishing. Meguiars SFP #82, Vanilla Moose and NXT would probably make a noticable difference.

Try a clay bar also. I clayed my Passat when it was new and it helped make a difference in the metallic silver. It gets the deep imbedded particles of raildust and rust that polishes can't quite get, new cars just sitting on the lot can get quite a bit of that kind of contamination. You'll at least get a super slick finish to start with. :xyxthumbs
