New product....

I recently received 2 new sample products and wanted to know if anyone had experienced its use yet. (Camera batt's out so no pic yet) (Fuji digitals eat batteries)....

Anyway, as described by its label " For cars and boats, the unique cotton chamois, dries faster and easier, resists chlorine and pressure washer, 100% COTTON absorbs 7 times its weight in water, performance improves with use, wash with hot water before use. "

It is very similiar in appearance to a waffle weave, measures 17x26, and feels fairly heavy...weighs in at 6.2 oz out of the package. I did give it the old cd test, not a problem after 15-20 firm pressure applied rubs (Twice). The letter from the president explains it must be washed proir to use, and will shrink slightly, as does all 100% cotton products.....

Just looking for some insight, if anyone has any experience with these, please reply......I will add a pic as soon as i run to get batts !

In a reply from the president of the company he sent me these pics.....

Post, thats what I thought too ! I was a little disturbed when i saw that pic, but thought what the heck, there showing some durability maybe ? I think i may order some.....

DF, i dont care if they call it a potato sack! Its a decent looking towel, how it performs is yet to be known, but in short time i will know....Ill make sure to report back, hopefully by weeks end. What I like the most is its 100% cotton...Soft, strong, nice weave, pretty thick too. I should take some of my own pics for a little better idea for you folks......

Patrick,

Did the owner state what country of origin the cotton he was using to manufacture these towels?

What, if any, benefit would you see using these towels over your already proven high quality MF WW's?

This may hit a nerve, but if i recall, the label mentioned Argentina ? Or that may be where the product is produced. I dont recall off the top of my head. I cant really answer your second question, i have yet to really give it a test. Its just an eye opener at the moment. I was really hoping someone here at Autopia had used them before, but upon a search, nothing is revealed. Im not sure if this is something brand new to detailers, or has been around and not up to Autopians standards, or just a gimmick product. I guess the burdon of testing is up to me. (makes me want to go try them now!) On second thought, wheres Hugh ???? Maybe he can test for me between clay tests ????;) (Kidding Hugh)
