*NEW* Poorboys world strip down wax stripper.

Maybe I missed something.....the directions say to rinse loose debris, spray Wax Stripper, then wash. In the video, did you say you`d washed the panels first, then applied Wax Stripper?

In the video I did wash with Adam`s Strip Wash first before spraying Strip Down on the paint during the Titanium test. This was to highlight the immediate difference in strength between Strip Wash and Strip Down side by side. According to the directions you don`t have to wash the paint first prior to use, merely rinse it down and apply as you would an APC to loosen up heavier grime like Bunky mentions. Then go straight over with your soap and wash mitt.

Thanks for the review and the testing on a Coating ... we did not have a lot of feedback on if it would remove coatings partially or fully as we know it would for wax and sealants during our testing.

This looks like a very good product. During testing was there any impact on plastic trim or aluminum parts? I wish I would have bought a bottle on my order from yesterday, but it’s not up on the site yet and I forgot about it. I really would like to test it on my wife’s car that has a mix of waxes, sealants, and coatings. Thanks for producing a product that actually works!

Video is up! This showcases the results on top of Zymol Titanium, Hydrosilex Recharge and TopCoat F11.

I`ve also tested this on top of Gyeon Prime and Gyeon One at two weeks old and saw extensive damage develop on the coatings. A bit surprising because Gyeon Prime is very resistant to many chemicals I`ve thrown on it, LA`s Totally Awesome APC and degreaser did nothing to it which I used directly before applying Strip Down. The damage to the coatings is similar to what you`re seeing with Recharge in the video.

After the Titanium test I did perform multiple CarPro Reset washes to see if there would be any improvement in the water behavior without any results. Afterwards I applied the new Blackfire SiO2 Spray Sealant on the paint and it sat for two days in the rain. Today I used Strip Down on the left side of the hood which was Titanium + the Blackfire Sealant, the carrier soap was CarPro Reset. It kills the sheeting immediately during the next rinse and the water is stuck there.

To test for surfactants I dried first with a Gyeon Silk towel and then rinsed, I noticed a small increase in the sheeting rate, still very slow. Washing again with Reset slows this sheet back down much closer to the first rinse after Strip Down. Sprayed a 15% dilution of IPA after drying the paint and then rinsed again, this time the sheet was actually slower than directly after the first towel dry, but slightly more improved than after the first rinse with Strip Down. Washing again with Reset again brings this back closer to the Strip Down performance after the first rinse. There`s surfactants at play which is to be expected as a cleaner, but I haven`t seen any drastic improvement in the water behavior that will survive through the follow up Reset wash.

More testing to come, I`m planning on setting up a fresh Zymol test up against recently polished paint to further test for surfactants.

Thanks for the follow up. Seems you were ahead of me when I made the post over on AGO. Was not aware that you posted over here as well. I`m a believer in a coating needing at least a month to fully cure/harden. I think 1-2 weeks a coating is still in in it`s infancy in terms of full hardness. It would be interesting to see if it would be damaged.

I can say that this looks promising unlike Adams Strip Wash.

From the very beginning of Coatings, it has always been a certain amount of - Drying - time, and then a longer amount of - Curing - time...
And this makes perfect sense, if you compare it to painting a vehicle or parts of it.. Needs to dry, then to cure or as we sometimes call it, out gas...
Sure, one can mess with it disregarding the directions from the manufacturer, etc., but then don`t be complaining or act surprised, because something happened...:)

I was so un-excited about this product because I’ve tried so many and none live up to the hype. I usually just polish off the remnants of the coating and re build from there. Well Loach your video made me part with some more money and further clog up my garage detailing cabinet. Thanks for taking the time to video tape and expertly narrate your process.

Steve- pay that boy a commission. :).

Thanks for the clarification and a very well done review. It certainly looks like it lives up to its billing....another quality product from the good folks at PoorBoys

If Poorboys puts it out you know they have been testing it and feel confident about the product being good

Not like some of these products that come out with tons of hype then under perform
