New Poorboys EX-P+ On Silver Solara

Yep. Went to Todd's today and he put his sample from Steve of the new EX-P+ (extra shine and durability) on his Solara. Here are some shots:

Yes, Steve's got another winner on his hands.



The application was easy though Todd found a MF applicator spread it more evenly than the PB PVC sponge.



I helped remove some of it with a Sonus edgeless MF. Was very easy. The photo quality here does not begin to give the depth of the shine or the popping silver flakes.

I can only judge from Todd's experience. Todd did most of the work here-I just helped a little on removal....It does appear the shiniest I have seen Todd's car. We will have to see on durability.



I will say this: the surface is super-super-slick.



I can't wait to see what Scottwax can do with this stuff. I hope Steve brings it to market soon. I have my plastic standing by. :)
 
I test it this weekend also. I put some pics of it on black up in Click and Brag.



I found it to be very thick as compared to the regular EX-P. I found in areas where it was applied thick that it was a PITA to remove.



Today I applied the regular Ex-P with a foam app. It allowed me to get it much thinner.



No doubt Steve has another winner on his hands....
 
I had VM + EX-P x 2 on the car already.



EX-P + is thick, but I don't think it is quite as thick as EX-P. It is slicker, wetter & more reflective and brings out the flake even better.



I found it easier to apply with a Cobra mf applicator than the Poorboy's PVA sponge...my experience was the same as with regular EX-P.



Lee came over just before I applied the EX-P +. It is easy to apply and after leaving on for 30 minutes after application, it was easy to remove...it buffed right off with the Sonus mf polishing towel.



I think the flake is the best I've seen it. Is this the best my car has looked? It is right up there with the look after 2 coats of Signature a week apart and the first application of Crystal Mist a week after that...to me that is saying something. The pictures I have don't do it justice.
 
Here are a few of my pics that I put in the Gallery...I thought EX-P was good until today. I don't know when the EX-P + will be available but you can bet I'll be bugging Steve! This one smelled like PwC...I'm sure they'll have a cute scent when it is released, LOL.



BTW, the guy in the pic isn't me...but you can probably guess who it is...and you can see a pretty good reflection of his face on my hood!

I see that you guys mostly apply EX-P by hand. If applying a thin layer tends to be problematic I suggest applying it by PC. I think I used about 65%-75% less applying by machine vs. by hand.



When applying EX this way, it also got rid of the delayed white spots that applying too much gives you.

I applied the 1st coat of EX-P with the PC & a finishing pad. I decided to apply the 2nd coat & the EX-P + by hand after reading Poorboy's suggestions on DC.



Letting it sit for 30-60 minutes has eliminated the moisture enduced spotting that I experienced.
 
Looks to be right up there with AIO and UPP x2. :p



It was a small bottle of EX-P+ that Steve gave you. How much did you use?
 
I still have 80% of it. I'd say I have enough left for 3 full coats...and before anyone asks I'm not interested in trading any of it...I don't know how long it will be before this hits the market...but I have found a new favorite polymer LSP!
