New pics, including 1Z pics (56k welcome!)

Awesome work as always Scott, I always enjoy these pics!

Love that E Class, the front and sides of that car are great looking...shame about the rear end...

I have a quick question about the Glanz wax, you think it has any cleaners? I'm thinking that the reports say its pretty durable it may be an interesting topper for something like NXT or EX.

:nixweiss Maybe unintentional cleaning properties, but it certainly doesn't seem to be a product function. Maybe more experienced Glanz Wax users would know.

You are about 3 hours from where my parents live in Oklahoma.... I might just make a trip down there so you can detail my car next time I visit them lol! :D

I can't believe it takes you so little time!! It took me a full day just to work my car over with FP and put a single coat of blackfire on it... and its just a tiny little Audi TT!

The version of FP I have isn't available in America. Hopefully, jgv can point us to a website where we can order it and have it shipped here. Jose?

I didn't find any site that has it. I usually order by phone and they bring it themselves, tho they are out of stock and waiting for delivery right now (Anthony is waiting too.... :( )

I don't believe Glanz Wax has any abrasives, but it is pretty solvent-rich (nice hydrocarbon buzz if you use it in an enclosed space) . . . my guess is that it would strip any sealant you try to use it on.

I agree. Non-abrasive, but the solvents will make your moustache curl! :doh

Scott, you're beautiful baby!! Would you please tell me what you usually use (esp. on older model cars) on black plastic bumpers and trim?

awesome work as always, scottwax! got some questions for ya though...

1. what's it like to have hundreds of people look up to your work as the pinnacle? :D

2. like percynjpn, i'm curious as to what you use on trim.

3. how do you polish/wax around areas like the seperate letters in "TUNDRA", esp. that darned "U"

4. you've mentioned before that you use armor-all (GASP!) on the tires. it that the tire foam or the original stuff for dashes and the like?

i know you get overwhelmed by questions, but thanks in advance iffens you can find the time to answer some of these. thanks for giving us all something to shoot for with our own detailing work:xyxthumbs

It is flattering, but I think too many people here sell their own work short in comparison to what I do. There are many people on Autopia that I consider to be elite. I definitely appreciate the recognition though not only from fellow board members but my customers as well.

Meguiars #38 Tire and Trim Dressing Gel. Excellent product with good durability.

3. how do you polish/wax around areas like the seperate letters in "TUNDRA", esp. that darned "U"

Foam hand pads are very flexible and I remove the excess with microfiber towels. I just scrunch up the end and get into all the letters. Takes time, but it is worth it.

It is the original stuff...which is not the original formula though. If you haven't tried it in a while, pick up a bottle. You will be really suprised at how good it is now.

Dude....just flat out impressive!!!!! I am especially in awe of how well you removed/hid that scratch just to the left of the gas fill door because it looks pretty damn deep!!!

Seeing your click and brag posts always make me smile, not because the cars are gorgeous or the detail work is phenomenal (and by hand no less!!!) but because I can tell you love what you do. It shows in every aspect of your work and that is the very reason why I decided to do this for a living. Anyone with half a brain can clean a car and put a coat of wax on it but it takes PASSION to make them glow. Awesome man...just awesome...you are an artist!!:bow
