New Mr. Clean Car Wash product

I saw an infommercial a few years back about something that "purified" the water so it was clean before you sprayed it on the car. Allowed it to dry with no water spots.

Don't know if it works... but the best part was the guys demo of how clean the water was.

The product hooked up to a hose like this one... He sprayed some into a glass and... you're not going to believe this... he drank it!! Everyone was amazed he would do this!

umm... even without the purifier... it's from the hose... it's safe to drink anyway

OK. in their F.A.Q. they have this question: "My, uh, dog put another kind of soap in the system."

Eeewwwwww

I wonder if you can use Meguiar's Gold Class car wash in it?!?!?

it says something about not using other products. Also they mention something about a polymer in the wash which helps the beading and probably helps with the drying.

By the way I would probably feel like a tool showing up to do a job with my cute Mr. Clean nozzle.

I wash most of my customers cars with QEW, but I do have a couple that want me to use a hose and regular car wash soap. One has a water dionizer at both his home and office, but the other guy does not...and all three of his vehicles are black. If this works as advertised, it would save me serious time at that guy's house...especially with his F-250 Crew Cab long bed with a shell over the bed.

Leo,

Let us know how this works. It looks promising.

Sure would be nice to get into polishing quicker than drying the whole car with a waffel or CWB. Maybe the CWB will be faster, but I like the idea of De-Ionized water.

Keep those towels in stock, you never know how many we all need

Regards,

Deanski

Looks like Mr. Clean beat Meguiar's and other to it at new product innovation. Now....for the autopian yeah or nay.

So do you see a difference between the two?

Huge difference. The cars I wash using dionized water I can just park in the sun and let them air dry. The ones washed with regular water have to be dried immediately or they will spot.

thats what the car washes do for the "spot free rinse". I experienced my first "spot free rinse" back in "89 or "90 out in Vegas

:o sponges? :o Maybe if this is offered in stores I'll buy one and test it on my brother's car. I don't feel like ordering it.

I'm still waiting, haven't received it yet but I have a feeling that a $20 garden hose filter will do the same job.

I'm interested in just using it for the purified water to dry with, don't particularly care about the soap.

I will wait for opinions though before I buy. :)

If you are not aware, drinking from a hose can be dangerous. If you go to a store and look at hoses, you'll probably find some are marked safe for drinking. The reason is some hoses contain polyvinyl chloride. This comes from the remanufacturing process of PVC to a hose.

The only state I believe that must tell you about the content is California.

I was referring to the water... not the hose...

and it it's marked safe for drinking... then I'm not sure what you're saying

He drank water from the hose. How do you know it was makred for drinking? Did the commercial say the hose was makred for drinking?

Did I miss something here, or did you not say he drank water from the hose?
