New member, Introducing myself and my car

Since I consider myself a car detail nut, I'd like to join in on the fun here. I just want to say hi and show you my pride and joy.

As a different approach than usual, I'd like to have you try to guess what I use for my paintwork:D hint(nothing unusual)

If requested, I can post more pics if needed.

Welcome! That is a super sweet ride you've got yourself. How much is it lowered? Do you race it?

I'm not a big fan of guessing. It's deep and wet looking...my guess would be Souveran.

:welcome to Autopia!

My guess: sealant with carnuba on top

OR

Eagle Kamikaze

Deanski

Thanks for all the greetings and compliments.

To answer some of your questions.....

My car is completely stock (not lowered) nor do I race it on a track.

Yes it's the Twin Turbo Carrera not the C4S model. Do you need me to explain the difference?

So far no one has guessed correctly which product I use on my paint. Another hint is it begins with a "Z", so that narrows it down to at least two brands that I'm aware of.

Einszett or Zaino...

My guess is Zaino...

Correct! Zaino it is:)

It's actually multiple coats of Z2 and Z5 topped with Z5 for depth.

I'm debating on whether to top over that with P21S or not?

Did you prep the car for the Zaino?

To make a long story short...

I bought the car used at a Porsche dealership. It had a fair amount of surface scratches from the previous owner's neglect. I had them buff out the scratches as much as possible with 3M Finesse-It II. I then washed the car with Dawn and started with Z5 mixed with ZFX. It took a couple of coats to eliminate the buffer or swirl marks left behind from the dealership. From there, I've layered Z2, Z5, and Z6 detail spray in between. I also wash occasionally with Z7 after driving in the rain or before I apply a new coat of Z5.

So far from what Ive read is to

Wash with regular car wash not dawn then claybar then rewash, then use a polish like a Menzerna Intense Polish then Menzerna Final Polish then use Zaino then take a step back and marvel at the beauty.

Yeah, that's what I've seen too. I'm waaay past that point now with this car. I'm curious to see if a carnuba wax over my Zaino will either be a boost or a bust at this time?

Your car looks great!

If you wanna test out with some topping, go for it. It will change the looks on that black paint imo.
