Hey guys! Whats going on? New guy here, just thought I'd introduce myself. Do some hobby detaing with an orbital 7.5 inch buffer, but, mostly, the old fashoned way by hand. WOudn't mind starting a little buisness or something but I can't see it being worth my time doing everything by hand because it takes WAY to long to rub, polish, and wax a car by hand. Machine seems a little faster but it seems the pad/comound combo has to be just right for the paint to avoid swirls from rubbing that require extra polishing to remove! ahh the dilemna. I guess I need more htan just a woll pad! (Oh, back when I was a noob I was actually using the backing pad for the woll pad to detail the cars :lol2: sure learned from that one)

Well yeah just saying hello, BTW, my display name is my real name incase you're wondering. Cheers

Thanks for the welcome guys, here is my experience, in pictures:
2007 ninja 250. The tank scratched easy. I detailed the tank!

Overall: not to bad, but I could (and should)have improved my skill a little

Attempted dent removal. Hey, at least I made it smaller! Then, wetsanded off scuffs from the other car, with 2500 grit, then buffed

About that time I discovered that automotive detailing techniques could easily be used on guitars with great results

Then I picked up a yamaha R6 after selli9ng the 250. Streetfighter, so didn't do any detailing for a while

I sold the R6 not very long after, and, I bought a CBR600RR. Did a little detailing, but didn't get very good pictures before I wrecked it.

Hope to learn from this website, and, I am glad to be here!

Welcome from Tampa FL. I spent 3 years in Charleston and you're in a wonderful part of the East Coast my friend.
