Hello erveryone

Just joine and just purhased an older Mercedes S500 Silver (2000) with ash interior

Car is a real cream puff and I want to keep it that way\

Are there products specificly designed for the Mercedes type of paint and leather interior

Please make recommendations

Know MB uses Menzerna polishes in the factory - and they are quite good - but there are many excellent brands out there. I'd look at the Blackfire line if it were me.
 
welcome mb enthusiast1. +1 on the blackfire products, very easy to use and beautiful results. definitely my favorite.
 
Welcome to AF. Grats on the new car! Personally I'm huge menzerna fan, but as soon as I run out I'm gonna give Blackfire a try. Everyone here says all good things about the BF line up. Good Luck feel free to ask if you need any advice once you decide what you wanna go with.

To keep your MB a cream puff, the most important step is washing. Most damage to clear coat is done by improper washing and drying, which, over time, will damage the paint by imparting millions of microscopic scratches. Since paint is clear coated, these scratches will haze and dull the the finish, which makes the paint look aged.

After washing use the techniques in this thread to 'clay' the paint. Claying removes air borne contaminates that have bonded to the surface. Not only can these contaminates dull the finish slightly (by creating a film light has to pass through) but they will affect how waxes or sealants adhere to the finish. Once they are remove the paint will be clean and ready for either polishing (paint correction) or waxing.
