New Meguiar's Products

Detail time!
The winter time blues have been kicking in lately :snow:. I haven't used many Meguiar's products but their latest products seem very nice. I finally got to use NXT2.0 (thanks Jared) and I am rather impressed with it. It was easy to work with, very slick and had the traditional NXT scent. It was only a spot test so I won't be able to judge durabilitly.

Anyways, who has treid the new Meguair's products, more specifically, NXT2.0, #21 2.0, Solo system, #105, #135 and what are your thoughts about them?

Thanks

Re: New Meguiars Products

I have tried the NXT 2.0 and found it to be about the same as the old NXT but I have not driven my truck in nearly three weeks so I can not speak of durability.
The 2.0 is claimed to be longer lasting than the original NXT.
I bought a gallon of the new M135 and on my Black Ranger it made it darker and looks awesome

I really like how it feels so slick while applying it and the ease of using it.
135 is a great product it may not last as long as AW but it should be close it is a poly based product.

Re: New Meguiars Products

Well, I like the 2.0 pretty well. I also like the UQD. I saw the Quick Out (upholstery cleaner) in Big Lots, although I am not sure if this might be an older version or what.

Just from my limited experience, I'd have to say the 2.0 lasts longer than the older version. I am still getting nice beading, a slick surface, and the 4Runner stays very clean even when driven in the rain. All I am doing is topping it off with the UQD every now and again, which is what I'd do with any other LSP I would use. I might even go out on a limb and say it does as good a job of keeping the vehicle clean (dirt washing off very easily) as anything I have ever used.

Like I said in my earlier post I have not had a chance to test the durability but some on Meguiars web site say it is lasting longer.
From what I have read and my experience with it I think the slick surface and tight beading is from the UQD
I have a gallon of the new 135 and another gallon on the way.
I really like the UQD and M135 I think the only difference is 135 is a one gallon instead of the spray bottle.

Thanks for your thoughts Bart. I have heard that the UQD and 135 seemed slimilar. I haven't tried either of them though. I keep hearing about NXT2.0 but not much about #21 2.0, which is something I'd like to try in the spring time.

Go to Meg web site they were talking about the difference between the new #21 and 2.0 nxt as I recall those using both liked the nxt 2.0 better

I never like the original nxt because of the poor durability but the new is claimed to be better.

I put 2.0 on my little Ranger three weeks ago but I have been driving my Bronco and the ranger has been sitting in a heated garage so it still looks just like it did.

Mike Phillips said 135 and UQD are the same, one is bottled for the consumer line in the spray bottles and 135 is in gallons targeting the Pro's

If you have not tried the new UQD pick up a bottle at your local wally world and give it a try it is some good stuff.
As you would expect the price per gallon is much better than the smaller bottles.
I ordered the gallon of 135 because I was using the new UQD on my car last fall and liked it well enough to order a gallon and now have a second gallon on the way.

Anyone heard anything about the Speed-Cut Compound #95? I didn't even know it existed until AG listed it on their site. I guess #105 is stealing all of #95's thunder?

would you guys say that the nxt is better than the number 26 as far as depth and shine?
Well #26 is a very good product for an OTC wax but I prefer NXT
Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Only you can decide if it looks better to you.
One thing that nearly everyone can agree on is NXT is easier to apply and remove.
The new NXT 2.0 topped with UQD is a awesome looking combo in my opinion.:bigups

Got a G110 from ADS and the 2.0 and 135 last weekend and did my wife's 07 black CTS and my crimson pearl 06 Lucerne and it was much better than the old NXT. Hard to tell about the QD 135 though. I guess I will see how long it last after a few rains. Then again the G110 may have a lot to do with it. Whatever, they both looked great and easy to use.

so the ultimate QD from megs is > the megs NXT speed detailer i would assume by the chit chat here ?

ive been looking at opinions on both and cant find much about the NXT line detail spray

I really like NXT 2.0 and M135. NXT has a nice look and slickness, M135 cleans well and leaves a nice finish behind, also use t on windows and it helps bead water.
