Just wanted to introduce myself. I just opened my own detail shop in Philadelphia. I've been detailing and retailing cars for 10+ years, as my family has been in the business. I will be doing the same with my new place. Right now, I am only working with dealership's vehicles and friend's cars until I get my proper LLC, which will be soon.
Just wanted to say this place looks great, I'm glad I found a space to swap info. I've been looking at this forum and wondering what kind of operations you guys are running. Some of you seem to be charging a lot of money. I do mostly volume so I am a bit cheaper and a bit faster but I do like to take time with certain cars. I'm old fashioned, I like to work with wet sanding, machine buffers, compound, polishing and hand waxing. Of course, once I start advertising to the public I will have to take more time with customer's cars.
If you guys have any advice off the bat for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Hopefully I can become a regular to this board and make my own contributions.
Thanks for having me.
