Being as I cant post pictures or links until I get 10 posts, I will post them later in this thread.

First off, let me just say WOW. Some of you guy's are truly amazing with perfecting a cars finish. I have been reading through this site and some others for some time now and just registered today because I had my first customer yesterday.

Simple wash and wax job, only charged her $50 to start. I also did the interior, rims, tires, and exhaust. But I want to start a good client base and not go overboard on charging.

For you guys out there who did this as their own job, would you have any pointers for me?

I have an order I will be making in the next few weeks ($700+) of detailing supplies from poorboys, porter cable, a few others.

I currently own a 2001 Ford Lightning, and a 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra.

The Lightning is Red, and the Cobra is black. The lightning is being sold unfortunately.

Do you guys have advice for maybe some special products for purely detailing a black car?

Once i get the 10 posts I will post pics of both of the vehicles along with the garage.

Sorry for the long post

Thanks guys

-Sean

Welcome MA C! There are so many high quality products out there. You can't go wrong with Menzerna,Optimum,Poorboys, Zaino etc. Most of how your ride looks is in the preparation stages.

David703,

Im jealous ha, I wish I could afford to keep my Lightning, but its for sale right now because I cant afford the Cobra and it while in college.

Ill get another one once I graduate I am sure.

Got another question, would anyone close to the zip 26505 want to possibly, give me a teaching lesson on a good detailing, possibly even doing my cobra and I will pay the normal fee's, just maybe talk to me and help me through it.

Thanks guys, I love this forum already

if you like the poorboys as much as i do, EX sealant topped with nattys blue would go great on your black cobra. just a thought while you're ordering you might as well pick thoes two up.
