Hey everyone, my names Shawn. I'm new to detailing besides minor over the counter products. Everyone here seems to have a ton of knowledge so I'm hoping to gain some skills. I have been reading and searching for awhile but it's beyond over whelming because of how many products are in the market.
I'm thinking about starting with a Griots or PC and running this set up.
CG citrus wash and gloss, nano skin, wash again, Meg's 105 then 205, poor boys white diamond, then blackfire wet diamond all finish and finish with blackfire midnight sun. I'm open to suggestions if you think something's out of place. Thanks again and I'm looking forward to learning from everyone.

but before suggestions are made, you really need to show condition of paint
 
Like Ron said, condition of paint is key. That setup seems to speak to paint that is jacked up a bit, being that you are using 105 and 205 and glaze to fill what the polishes didn't catch.
 
The paint on the Subaru has some swirls and minor defects. It just needs alil love. The 105/205 is actually for the girlfriends equinox. It's a black 2008 that's only been through the automatic washes and gets parked under Pine trees. Ill post pics of my paint and hers as soon as I can. Thanks again for all the help

:welcome: Nice ride and when you get to do the subie I would make sure to try just 205 if you are going with the Meguiars polishes. Subie's are notorious for having soft paint, so you may be surprised at the outcome.
 
I'm actually just north of Pitt in the Beaver/Center township area. Thanks for the advised EVOlved. How are you liking the evo?
 
welcome to AF shawn. I have a griot's 6" and 3" da and love them. hard to beat the lifetime warranty. good call with megs 105-205, just do test spots first and try the least aggressive step first. you're going to love the bfwd-bfms combo, definitely my favorite. you can probably skip the white diamond step after polishing if you take your time and do it right.

Sounds good as with any detailing prepping , polishing gives you ur shine :)
