New guy from Chicagoland

Welcome to DC Badlander! Nice rides. That is a very good starter kit that you have there!

thanks man! i just cant wait for this never ending winter to finally stop showing its face, we got another 3 inches of snow dumped on us last night, been waiting to dive into this project all winter!

damn bro, your good!! i do live in elk grove:bow how long since you lived here?

15 years, I had homes on Hemlock, 333 Trowbridge and 277 Shelly. Great area, good schools and did some fishing at Busse. If I moved back to Chicago I would be back in Elk Grove. I hated the weather so I moved to San Diego.

Like what? I still have friends there and they are happy with the area. I do miss Rosarios' pizza on Nerge and Gene and Jude's hot dogs!

well they are finishing up the new police station / village hall, they did one hell of a job adding on to it, im not sure how long ago they tore down the elk grove theater and built a new one, basically that whole lot of land on the south west corner of arlinghton heights and bisterfield was town down and rebuilt, new shopping center, and a whole bunch of cosmetic upgrades, street signs / lights, brick pavers at every intersection, ect...

oh and that house on the corner of ridge / devon was torn down and now there is a 7-11 there haha

and as for gene and judes...

they took on some water after a rain storm that we had over the summer, but since then they have opened up again and are busy as ever..

i dont believe Rosarios' is there anymore, but that shopping center on nerge / devon / martingale was torn down and a banquet hall, hotel, steak house, sports bar, and breakfast place was put up
