What do you think of this model? http://www.da.udm.net/videolashop/info.htm The way I see it, if you can hide a radar dectetor in your rear view mirror you are not only getting the best possible position for maximum scanning but it is also going to make people think you don't have one at all. I can just think of a million benifits to this type of system.

...one of these days I'm going to get around to asking what EOM stands for.

I wish they would make a radar detector that is hidden like this one but make it effective as the Valentine or Escort. Hell, I'd even settle for the effectiveness of a Uniden if I could hide it in my rearview mirror. :)

EOM = end of message.

The detectors that are hidden tend not to be as good do to the antenae location is normally in your grill which is kinda low.

K40 has one and the reviews hate it.

I prefer a windsheild mount so I can change vehicles easily.

The Escort SR-1 is a hidden detector...it cost's about a thousand dollars and then you have to install it!!!!!!:scared It is supposed to be almost as good as the 8500, but because the sensor is located in the bumper or grill, it is lower and therefore is not quite as good as the windshield mount.

Hey All,

I'm new to truth in detailing, but by no means new to detailing. I am active on a few other detailing sites.

I joined because I am doing a school project related to detailing and would like to get the info on members of truth in detailing

I'm going to be posting a survey in the off-topic section in a bit.

Glad to be here and maybe I can learn a few new things too!
