Hi guys, well I,m moving to the country and building my dream setup, 1acre, 2400sq.ft. house with pool and 2 car gar. Out back a 40x40 garage with 2 9ft. doors and 12ft. ceiling, 6" 3500psi slab, I plan on a rotary 2 post lift as soon as concrete dries. Can you think of any must haves that I didn't address? I didn't do floor drains because cost was getting up there. Will have half bath and slop sink. I saw in griots cat. a picture of a lift and there was lights in the floor to light the bottom of car on lift, does anyone have any info on these lights, any good? where to get them? thank you

I think i'll use T-8 flour. Theouter perimeter of ceil. will slant up till it gets to 12ft. so I'll probably put a bunch of hi hats around that area.I'm an electrical contractor so lighting I can do as much as I want without worrying about cost.I know a lot of guys like HID lights but I find flour. seems more brighter to me.

Since you have 'open options' for lighting, why not do three types?

Metal halide for general, fluor for task lighting, and halogens for paint inspection...

I've seen 300 watt halogens mounted on a Rotary 2 post lift. at about 4' high, 2 each post , 1 up and forward, 1 up and back.

Careful! They do get HOT.

I can't imagine not having a drain...:nixweiss

Yea, that might be a good idea, a few different kinds of lights. Why is drains so important, just for washing cars, or something else, because I can wash in the houses attached garage as it should have floor slanted for water drain out the door, don't they.
